Former Real Madrid winger, Royston Drenthe has started a career in the music industry after failing to find a new club after six months.
The 29-year-old was released by UAE club, Baniyas last July and could not get another club before choosing to embrace another path; his rap single title:’Paranoia’ under the stage name, Roya2Faces.
Drenthe played for the Spanish giants in 2007 after breaking into the European scene with Feyenood where he was regarded one of the hottest talents but his spell at the Santiago Bernabeu was full of several controversies which led to him shipped out on loan to Hercules where his career nosedived. The Dutchman then moved to Everton on a season-long loan in 2011 but could not get a permanent deal and had to move to less known sides after his contract ended with Real.
The winger who had earlier featured on a track with Dutch rapper, U-Niq in 2014 took to the social media to announce the release of his track, he wrote: ‘Next Wednesday is the day!
This comes after former Liverpool striker, Djibril Cisse also chose to become a DJ after his time in the footballing world.
